Corey Lamirande, CFF®, NSSA®, is a Financial Professional with Gorra Financial Group in Providence, Rhode Island, focused on retirement income and Social Security timing for people between 55 and 70.
Corey grew up in Johnston, Rhode Island, and began his working life in service — five years in the U.S. Army and several more as a police officer in Bristol. Managing budgets and resources for global military operations is where he learned that plans fail on the details, not the headline.
He brought that habit into financial planning. Over 250 retirement strategies later, the work still comes down to the same few questions: when should you claim, whose record should you claim on, what order should you draw from your accounts, and what happens to the survivor.
Corey volunteers as Community Outreach Coordinator for Rhode Island with the Foundation for Financial Education, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, and teaches free workshops across the state. He lives in Cranston with his wife and three sons.
